Look no further, Southern West Virginia Asphalt, Inc. has the perfect career opportunity waiting for you Job Description Summary : Seeking an asphalt laborer who will be responsible for shoveling and raking asphalt material along with other responsibilities as needed. Requirements :Physical ability to operate equipment under temperature extremes and for extended hours of time. Normal shift is 8:12 hours.: The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co:workers and managers.: Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.: Properly follow all Company policies and OSHA guidelines for a safe working environment. : Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project.: Operate and maintain various vehicles, machinery and other equipment used on the job site.: Must be able to shovel and rake asphalt material.: Responsible for upkeep of tools and work area.: Perform other duties as assigned.:Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required. Out of town/county/state work may be required.: Ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined with ability to learn in a fast paced environment.:Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.:Attitude/Cooperation: Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co:workers, customers, public.:Must pass drug test and criminal background check. Education/Experience : High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
