JOB DESCRIPTION INFORMATIONPosition Title: Warehouse - Receiving AttendantType of Job Description: New Job DescriptionPosition Type: FulltimeJob Catalog Position Title: Receiving - WarehouseFLSA Status: HourlyDepartment: WarehouseLocation: Columbia, MOBusiness Unit: JBSPrepared FoodsReports to: Shipping / Warehouse SupervisorYears of Experience: 1 or more years of experience operating a forklift Number of employees Supervised: NoneJOB SUMMARY Under direct supervision and under established warehouse procedures, these individuals are responsible ensuring the smooth transition of product from the receiving raw materials to shipping the finished product out to customers or the Company s various distribution centers around the country. Starting Hourly rateis $21.25 for RECIEVING WORKERESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIf assigned to receiving; unload product and ensure all quantity and quality requirements are met, all paperwork matches, and all receiving requirements are met according to the receiving record.Monitor inbounds, verify all inbound and outbound paperwork to and from drivers.If assigned to shipping, responsibilities also include loading outbound trucks using the appropriate equipmentObserve cleanliness of truck and keep all coolers and work areas clean and free of debris.Replace any defective bar codes or labelsNotify Supervisor or Manage of any damages, shortages or discrepancies; coach other employees on how to do the sameProperly slot products according to Put Away function on RF Scan gunOperate forklifts and pallet jacks in a manager that is compliant with Company safety rulesPlan and execute the movement of materials to ensure the efficiency of warehouse operationsStocking and retrieve product stored at various levels using high lift equipment to lift, carry, move and position palletized materials in the appropriate placeKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESAbility to learn in a hands-on environment.Basic understanding of meat manufacturing operations prior experience with meat business preferred.Able to operate an pallet jack and a forkliftExperience with Inventory Control processes.HS Diploma, GED or higher preferred; but experience will be considered in place of educationOther requirements please read:Attendance is a critical part of any role in our plant.
