General Description Equiscript is a growing company in the healthcare industry specializing in 340B. Our in-house corporate legal team provides a variety of services for both internal and external stakeholders. We are seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of legal procedures and documentation. As a paralegal, you will work closely with our attorney to assist in various duties including but not limited to; drafting, developing, redlining, and maintaining the tracking system for all sales and vendor contracts, filing and maintaining all necessary licenses, drafting and reviewing corporate governance documents as necessary, scheduling, and administrative duties as required. Key Responsibilities Conduct legal research using various resources, including databases, legal libraries, and online sources. Review and monitor legislation and regulations that potentially affect the company’s operations and processes, specifically, but not limited to: 340B and HIPAA. Update company leadership with analysis and summaries of new legislation that can affect the company. Help make and/or review changes to contracts with partners, vendors, and contractors. Organize, maintain, and file corporate records, including resolutions, board of director changes, annual reports, and other legal documents. Assist attorney in drafting and preparation of legal documents, such as contracts, non-disclosure, business associates, and other agreements for employees, vendors, partners, and contractors. Provide support for in-house legal team and outside counsel in matters related to business operations, potential litigation, and general legal matters. Renew and maintain company licensing. Update and maintain contract tracking system. Update and maintain digital document filing system. Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars. Perform other related duties as assigned. Professional Qualities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain and present complex information clearly and thoroughly. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Preferred Experience An associate degree and/or certification in Paralegal Studies is required. Bachelor’s degree, is strongly preferred. Experience with drafting, redlining, and maintaining commercial contracts preferred. Experience with HIPAA is a plus. Physical Requirements Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, occasional stooping, and reaching; May require lifting up to 25 pounds; requires normal range of vision and hearing with or without accommodations.
