Practice Area: Medical Malpractice Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm in El Segundo, CA, is seeking an Attorney to join their team. The Attorney will work independently with a senior attorney on the team to manage a caseload, conduct legal research, handle court appearances and depositions, and communicate with clients. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in medical malpractice, public entities, or civil litigation, and must be licensed to practice law in the state of California. Duties:Work independently with a senior attorney to manage a caseload.Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.Review and analyze legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.Handle discovery, including analyzing medical and employment records.Attend court appearances, depositions, and meetings regularly.Communicate with clients and provide status reports on cases. Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in the State of California.2-5 years of experience with medical malpractice, public entities, or civil litigation.Excellent interpersonal skills, oral advocacy, and writing skills.Experience in insurance defense litigation and familiarity with carrier billing and reporting guidelines preferred.Strong oral and analytical skills.Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Education Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in the State of California - no exceptions. Skills:Legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in handling court appearances and depositions.
