Job Description Grace is seeking future candidates for Operations Supervisor openings to join our Plant Team This role would report to our Operations Manager and is located at our Curtis Bay Site. Responsibilities:Directly supervises employees in the specialty chemicals manufacturing setting.:Assure regulatory compliance, including environmental and process safety, and a safe workplace for all employees. Address hazards, deviations, and injuries in a timely manner.:Analyzes production to estimate worker hours and create production schedules that meet both internal and external needs.:Responsible for start:up, shutdown and normal process operation to include manual operation of the process using field controls.:Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety standards. Identifies and reports or resolves hazards.:Directs response to emergency situations to include emergency shutdown procedures. Coaches and counsels operations personnel in the assignment of duties.:Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.:Inspects and measures product to verify conformance to specifications. Utilizes quality control system, SPC and response charts to implement corrective actions in a timely manner.:Directs workers in adjusting equipment and processes to correct products which fail to meet quality standards.:Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Maintain housekeeping standards by performing requisite audits.:Complete all regulatory testing and conduct safety meetings for operations personnel as required.:Enter SAP notifications as required for maintenance.:Inform operations personnel of planned maintenance by action as a liaison between maintenance and operations through effective communication.:Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.:Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.:Analyzes and resolves production issues to include enforcing labor relations policies and resolving grievances.:Maintains time and production records. Physical Requirements and Environmentstylemargin:top:0.0;margin:bottom:0.0::Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a laboratory environment with highly hazardous materials:Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials:Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.:Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.:Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel:toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator Required Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).: 3+ year's supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.: Must be able to work 12:hour shift work to include both days, nights and weekends.: Demonstrated experience with training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.: Previous experience with appraising performance; rew
