Position Summary The Breakfast Kitchen Supervisor is responsible to assist the Breakfast Kitchen Manager with ensuring that the kitchen team provides an outstanding guest experience by delivering great service and products in a clean, healthy and safe environment at this award-winning hotel. The Breakfast Kitchen Supervisor will possess the ability to support the Breakfast Kitchen Manager in training, developing, coaching and retaining employees while maintaining a healthy culture and keeping morale high by using accountability, fairness and consistency. The Breakfast Kitchen Supervisor assists in overseeing compliance to established policies, procedures, and guidelines. The Breakfast Kitchen Supervisor assists the Breakfast Kitchen Manager with catering events, with ordering products and with maintaining cost and labor effective kitchen operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Exhibits exemplary behavior in accordance with company mission statement and core tenets. Work 5 shifts per week, approximately 5:30am - 1:30pm on weekdays and weekends, occasional evening and overtime may be required. Interact with our guests to help our team provide an outstanding breakfast experience. Ensures breakfast is opened timely, and food is cooked and maintained on buffet to service guest flow Light grill work is required for our made to order ala carte breakfast items Ability to operate small dish machine and help out as needed with general duties and cleanup in the kitchen and dining room Follow food safety procedures as implemented by management and ServSafe standards. Responsible for assisting with catering events at the hotel, including evening events as required. Support Kitchen Manager with coaching and training fellow team members where needed. Help ensure that they have a full and accurate understanding of kitchen policies and procedures. Ability to hold team members accountable to policies, procedures, and standards when designated as person in charge. Assist Kitchen Manager with ordering products and communicating with vendors for kitchen needs Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Minimum of two years leadership experience in restaurant/hospitality English and Spanish skills a plus ServSafe Certified a plus with the ability to obtain certification "Safety First" focus Excellent people skills with the ability to interact with guests, vendors, all levels of management and multi-cultural employees Able to follow and give directions and communicate with both guests and coworkers effectively Display a positive and professional attitude at all times Deliver a high quality of work to ensure we are providing top notch service Excellent organizational skills with the ability to help coordinate catering events at the hotel Appropriate Time Management
