The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, participating in court proceedings, and managing a substantive caseload. Strong analytical skills, proficiency with Lexis and MS Office, and the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel are essential. Duties:Draft pleadings, motions, orders, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.Prepare and respond to written discovery requests.Conduct legal research and provide factual and legal analysis to clients.Take and defend depositions.Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and prepare status report correspondence.Assist and participate in mediations, pretrial settlement conferences, and court appearances.Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues, and staff.Manage a substantive caseload efficiently and effectively. Requirements:Licensed to practice law in Indiana.3+ years of experience in civil litigation defense, including medical malpractice, commercial transportation, construction, and general liability.Experience drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and providing legal analysis to clients.Proficiency with Lexis and MS Office.Strong legal research and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Licensed to practice law in Indiana.
