Midland University, a private, faith-based, liberal-arts college in Fremont, Nebraska, is seeking exceptional faculty members to teach Financial Institutions & Markets in our undergraduate financial services program. The class will run in-person (no online option) during the Fall session 2023: August 21-December 10, daytime availability preferred. Professionals with extensive practical experience and an interest in engaging students are encouraged to apply, regardless of previous classroom experience. Need to have: Master's degree in business, finance, or related field Experience in banking, insurance, investments, financial services, and/or related field Should demonstrate: Interest and experience engaging students through classroom learning The desire and availability to be quickly responsive to students Nice to have: Experience working with a learning management system such as Blackboard or Canvas to develop and deliver course content Compensation: Midland University offers comprehensive benefits including: Wages commensurate with education, experience, and individual strengths A respectful and productive working environment Financial Institutions and Markets Course Description: This course examines the functions and practices of the major types of financial institutions in the economy. Students will understand the basic operations of and issues surrounding commercial banks, thrifts, insurance companies, real estate companies, mutual funds, pension funds, finance companies, venture capital firms, investment banks, and brokerage firms.
