Today, it is one of the world's great law schools. The Faculty’s rich academic programs are complimented by its many legal clinics and public interest Programs. The Faculty of Law is housed in the elegant, state-of-the-art Jackman Law Building alongside two historical buildings, Flavelle House and Falconer Hall, on the St. George Campus in downtown Toronto. Your opportunity: Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Graduate Programs and under the general supervision of the Research Steam Graduate Programs Manager, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient administration of the Faculty’s three research based graduate programs (LL. M. M. S. L. and S. J. D. ) by performing a wide range of duties in the areas of admissions, registration, program administration, scholarships and financial aid, thesis submission and supervision, and student relations. The role is currently eliglbe for a hybrid work arrangement, pursuant to University policies and guidelines, including but limited to the University of Toronto’s Alternative Work Arrangements Guideline. Your responsibilities will include: Providing detailed information on program and/or course eligibility requirements, procedures, policies and deadlines Advising on the appropriateness, precedents and process for petitions and appeals, and suggesting alternative course of action as necessary Analyzing and making recommendations on award funding allocation Reviewing and backssing student records to confirm eligibility to graduate Reviewing and backssing admissions applications Determining which applications to refer to committee for selection Liaising with students and faculty to coordinate program activities Serving as a resource to others.
