Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time APRN/Physician Assistant to join the Primary Care team in the Naples area . We are looking for a new team member who is positive, energetic, well-organized, has the ability to multi-task, and think outside of the box. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience. Physician Assistants/ARNP's (known as "Physician Extenders") work under the supervision of a licensed physician. They must hold a license in good standing with the State of Florida. The Physician Extender's role includes diagnosing and deciding treatment for patients, analyzing and interpreting x-rays and lab results, writing prescriptions, taking patients' histories, ordering various forms of therapy, and examining patients. The Physician Extender is expected to consult with the supervising Physician on any complicated diagnoses and make treatment decisions collectively. The Physician Extender primarily will complete admissions from emergency department or direct admits to the hospital as well as complete follow up visits and discharges as directed by supervising Physician. The Physician Extender has twelve hour (12) shifts on nights as nocturnist. Critical Care/Trauma experience is preferred. Required Knowledge and Experience Florida APRN or PA License & Board Certification Required Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems; Athena knowledge preferred but not required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb and balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
