PURPOSE To effectively manage and support the Corporate Tax Mission of ensuring a competitive level of tax in a responsible way. Reporting to the Associate Director- Tax, this position is responsible for supporting the tax function of Novo Nordisk in Canada in the fulfillment of local and global tax responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Transfer Pricing: Assist with the preparation of supporting documents in the Advanced Pricing Arrangements (“APA”) application and renewals process with the Canada Revenue Agency (“CRA”) and Danish/Swiss Tax Authorities, including preparation of the application, negotiations with tax authorities, and execution of the APA Assist with preparing supporting documents for tax and transfer pricing audits with the Canada Revenue Agency, ensuring sufficient and accurate information is provided Compile supporting documents for reporting requirements with the Canada Border Services Agency (“CBSA”) related to transfer pricing post importation adjustments Prepare and present the therapy profit and loss “P&L” statements ensuring required annual return on sales are achieved Preparation of transfer pricing adjustment calculations Responsible for managing transfer price changes and reporting requirements in line with NNCI transfer pricing strategy set by the AD, Tax and HQ Maintaining transfer pricing documentation and reporting in accordance with headquarter and external requirements Identify and advise Line of Business on transfer pricing challenges, as required Tax Operations – External: Develop, maintain, and leverage stakeholder relationships to gain business understanding and provide expert quality deliverables Prepare filings of NNCI Canadian Federal & Provincial Income Tax Returns, including detailed T106 Forms and T661 SR&ED Claims Prepare response to CRA and provincial audit queries Review monthly VAT returns prepared by shared services, ensuring refunds received on a timely basis to enable optimal cashflow Assist with preparation of.
