The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Working as a member of the Health Records Team the incumbent is responsible but not limited to processing which includes sorting and distributing mail and reports and placing reports in Terminal Digit (TD) order, date stamping and filing reports within the health record. Filing and pulling health records. Utilizing computer systems to obtain information necessary to retrieve and file reports & health records and update health record locations. Experience Six (6) months experience in a hospital Health Records Department within the last two years OR One (1) year medical office experience within the last two years Terminal Digital Filing experience required Experience working with both electronic and paper health records preferred Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required Successful completion of a recognized Medical/Surgical Office Assistant or Health Information Management program preferred A combination of education and experience may be considered SPECIAL TRAINING: Terminal Digit (TD) filing required Typing/keyboarding skills (minimum 30 wpm) Medical terminology required (pass mark 75%).
